Stockholm City Museum Address: RyssgardenA classic stop on any museum tour. All the basics and many interesting details about Stockholm can be found on the different floors of this historic building. The architecture alone is worth the visit. The exhibits focus on the city's development from the middle ages where sickness and poverty prevailed, to the bustling multifaceted city it is today. A rewarding experience located in a lovely part of town. Close to the famous "Gotgatan", where food of every variety is consumed, books are read and debated and umbrellas are sold in the rain. Note to visitors Photographs may not be taken inside the museum (except in ”Torget” – the children’s activity room). If you want to take photographs in the museum please ask at the reception desk. Visitors are not allowed to picnic in the museum. The designated picnic area is reserved for school visits. Baggage can be deposited in the cloakroom lockers. Unfortunately we have no possibility to deposit neither suitcases nor backpacks. Domestic animals (dogs and cats and other pets) may not be taken into the museum. Website
