HC Orstedsparken

Address: Norre Voldgade

H.C. Orstedsparken was originally part of the moats of Copenhagen. The park was built in 1876-79 in an English style with wonderful lawns and paths. It also has playgrounds and a cafe, and in the summer the park is full of people sunbathing. Some would not recommend visiting the park in the evenings. It is named after the famous Danish physicist H.C. Orsted.

HC Orstedsparken is yet another important historic park and was originally part of the city's old network of moats and waterways. This is a great spot for families and children will enjoy the play area, which comes complete with swing and slide. HC Orstedsparken is also perfect for a relaxing picnic and a spot of sun worshipping.
Copenhagen gardens open: daily
